All standard trucking is performed in-house on the CLX fleet: a trailer head running 14× 40ft chassis, the International truck with a 10-pallet capacity and an onboard piggyback forklift, and the Fuso with a 5-pallet capacity. Subcontract trucking is engaged only when our own equipment is unavailable, with a 15% management fee added.
That fleet lets us cover the full chain — container drayage from port, premium delivery to sites without material-handling equipment, LCL and pallet runs, and scheduled Family Island distribution priced by island band.

Trailer head and chassis move FCL containers port-to-consignee within and outside Nassau, with empty equipment return always priced separately.
Piggyback Forklift Delivery
The International truck self-offloads at construction sites, ferry docks, retail without a dock, and any consignee lacking a forklift.

The Fuso handles door-to-door pallet runs, loose cargo by cubic meter, and white-glove inside delivery.

- PakYa personal package, Pompano to Nassau: $2.50 / lb (min. $25.00), air or sea consolidation.
- Band A — Eleuthera, Abaco, Grand Bahama: +$1.50 / lb added to the Pompano–Nassau rate, ferry/air at cost.

Transportation — common questions
How much does it cost to get my container from the port to my door?
Drayage runs on our own trailer head and 40ft chassis fleet: $250 per container within Nassau and $300 for the rest of New Providence (Western District, Adelaide, Coral Harbour, Lyford Cay), port to consignee, single drop. Empty equipment return is always billed separately at $150, and each additional stop after the first adds $75.
My delivery site has no loading dock or forklift — can you still offload?
Yes — our International truck carries up to 10 pallets and has an onboard piggyback forklift, so it self-offloads at construction sites, retail locations without a dock, and ferry docks. Within Nassau it's $500 with forklift offload included, $550 for construction sites (30 minutes of forklift standby included, then $100 per 30 minutes), and $525 for retail or no-dock drops.
I only have a few pallets, not a full container — do you handle small runs?
That's what the Fuso is for: door-to-door pallet delivery at $60 per pallet within Nassau, minimum 1 and maximum 5 pallets per run, or $75 per pallet in the extended Western and Eastern districts. Loose cargo and boxes go at $25 per cubic meter with a $50 minimum, and white-glove inside delivery adds $50 per pallet where unpacking, room placement, or a stair carry is needed.
Do you deliver to the Family Islands, and how is it priced?
Yes — we're a DHL Express Family Islands last-mile partner and deliver throughout the archipelago. Pallets are $250 each plus ferry cost passed through, a full forklift-truck delivery with ferry coordination and shipside offload is $950 plus ferry, and containers are quoted per shipment because they depend on the mailboat schedule and offload availability. Per-pound package rates add $1.50/lb for Band A (Eleuthera, Abaco, Grand Bahama), $2.00/lb for Band B (Andros, Exuma, Long Island), and $3.00/lb for Band C (Inagua, Crooked, Acklins, Mayaguana) on top of the Pompano–Nassau base.
What extra charges should I budget for beyond the base rate?
The main ones: standby at $75/hr after two free hours at your site, +50% for after-hours work outside 7:00am–5:00pm weekdays, and +75% on weekends and Bahamian public holidays. Trucking is also subject to a fuel adjustment factor of 0–15%, reviewed quarterly against the Bahamas diesel index, and same-day cancellation after a truck has been dispatched is $150. Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue.
