How we work
- All standard work runs on CLX's own chassis, in-house trucking, and own brokerage — no subcontracted middle layer.
- Third-party government, port, and carrier charges are passed through at cost plus a 3% disbursement fee unless otherwise noted.
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from issue and subject to fuel adjustment per our published surcharge schedule.
- Payment via Charge Anywhere, Fygaro, or bank wire; documents released against cleared funds. Net 30 available on credit approval.

What does customs brokerage cost through CLX?
Brokerage is tiered by origin: $75.00 for the first line item on US-origin cargo, $125.00 for non-US origin (Europe, China, UK), plus $10.00 per additional line item either way. Government duty, VAT, and OGA permit fees are passed through at cost — no markup. If you need CLX to advance the duty on your behalf, that carries a 3% disbursement fee with a $25.00 minimum.
How does document release work when my cargo arrives in Nassau?
Documentation release is mandatory on every shipment, prepaid or collect, at $181.50 per BOL per container (VAT inclusive). We issue release once your funds have cleared and we hold the original or telex-released BOL. If your origin agent needs CLX to coordinate a telex release, that runs $50.00.
Can you handle my shipment from the origin, or only clear it in Nassau?
Both. CLX holds the exclusive Antillean Line ship agency for The Bahamas and partners with a US NVOCC for US brokerage and inland transport, with a warehouse presence in Pompano Beach, Florida. Your cargo stays inside the CLX network from the origin warehouse to the Nassau consignee, tracked in real time through Hammerhead TMS.
What does it cost to bring in a vehicle or heavy equipment?
Vehicle and heavy-equipment brokerage is $150.00 per unit, and that includes VIN verification and Road Traffic coordination. That covers the entry work — government duty and any port or carrier charges pass through at cost.
How long is my quote valid, and how do I pay?
Quotations are valid for 30 days from issue and subject to fuel adjustment per our published surcharge schedule. You can pay by Charge Anywhere (credit card), Fygaro, or bank wire, and account clients can apply for Net 30 terms on credit approval. Keep in mind documents are only released against cleared funds.
