FAQ

Maritime Support — common questions

What does your standard agency fee actually cover for a liner call?

A routine liner call is $850 USD under our Antillean and partner-line contract rate, and it covers port call attendance plus inward and outward customs and port filing — clearance documentation is included in the agency fee, not billed separately. Third-party port and government charges are passed through with a 2% cash-on-disbursement fee.

We're not on a liner service — can you attend a one-off or tramp vessel call?

Yes. One-off and tramp calls run $2,500–$4,500 USD, quoted per call based on vessel size and scope. Project and charter vessels — heavy lift, oil & gas support, and government cargo — are quoted separately at $4,500–$8,500.

Do you handle husbandry — crew changes, provisions, bunkers?

We coordinate crew change, provisions, technical support, and bunker arrangements end to end, billed at cost plus 15%. If you need crew repatriation, that's $350 per event, with airfare, hotel, and transport arranged at cost plus 10%.

What happens if the vessel is delayed at berth or anchor?

The agency fee covers the scheduled call. Where a berth or anchor delay extends the call beyond 24 hours, standby is billed at $200 USD per day until the vessel sails.

How do disbursements and payment work?

CLX settles third-party port and government charges on your behalf and re-bills them with a 2% cash-on-disbursement fee. Payment is via Charge Anywhere, Fygaro, or bank wire, documents are released against cleared funds, and quotations hold for 30 days from issue.
